Your friend’s motherboard is quite basic, with just one 4-pin CPU socket and a stock speed around 3.6GHz. The 9700KF can run at up to about 150 watts per slot. To maximize performance, consider boosting the CPU clock to around 4.5–5.0GHz while keeping voltage in check. Adjusting the overclock settings carefully will help get the best stability and speed from this setup.

It doesn’t look like a Z-board, so go ahead and use throttle stop. It’s pretty pointless when the boards’ voltage rating is going to fail under any stress. That’s the official spec—you can actually draw more than it’s built for, but it’s not advised because cables or connectors might melt. Minor overspec like 175W doesn’t seem too big of a concern.

The motherboard is equipped with Intel Turbo Boost technology capable of up to 4.9Ghz, so it should be able to support the 9700KF.
