Hello, you're planning to assemble a new PC with a Ryzen 3600 for gaming. Your current GPU is an RX 5700 XT. You're concerned about whether the Ryzen 3600 can support next-generation GPUs. Since next-gen graphics are expected soon and you're interested in high-end options, you worry about potential bottlenecks. You play games at 1440p at 144Hz with G-SYNC/Freesync, and you're considering upgrading to a Ryzen 3700X. However, you noticed that benchmarks don't show significant improvements. Your question is whether these specs would still work well for upcoming GPUs. Thank you!

Always exists a slow point, regardless of the situation. The GPU becomes the limiting factor at that specific resolution and frame rate.

Thanks for the reply. I intend to upgrade to a GPU similar to the RTX 2080 Ti, which is expected to be available around the 3000 series. Would a 3600 model also perform well?

It shouldn’t be an issue—just boost the graphics settings and then your main constraint will shift to the GPU.
