Hi! I just purchased a new 9900k and an ASUS Maximus XI formula. The problem is that in stock BIOS settings, my CPU stays stuck at 3.6 GHz and doesn’t turbo under load. When I try to overclock in BIOS, it only saves the settings for the first restart, then everything goes back to normal. After a while, it reverts to the original settings and stops turboing again. But when I check the BIOS directly, the overclock setting appears but doesn’t work. Thanks for your help!

The bios is updated to the newest release. It's running an older version aside from that, plus I have 32GB RAM at 3200MHz with a 2080 Ti graphics card.

I understand you've already got a complete custom water cooling setup.

Don't jump into a custom loop without testing the hardware first. Which BIOS version are you working with, and what software do you use to check the clock speed?

Have you explored various BIOS updates? Are you verifying your CPU's clock speed?

I might attempt to load another BIOS version upon returning, utilizing CPUID and HWINFO tools.

I ran the test initially, and everything functioned properly during the first startup. However, upon subsequent boots, the issue arose later.
