Seems identical to my 7800x3D I purchased last month. They applied a protective coating to the exposed parts—nothing to be concerned about. My original 7900x from the start didn’t have this treatment.

I acquired my Ryzen 7800X3D in April 2023. It doesn’t have any "glue" or protective coating. There may be worries about exposed capacitors—those gold pin-like components on the green PCB—possibly due to liquid metal used as thermal paste, which could cause short circuits if they touch. Manufacturers are likely improving their processes to handle this issue.

Secured the unit in place. Current readings show 28°C with an ambient of 20°C, everything appears normal.
