Details of the build: processor i7 10700K, motherboard Asus Prime Z490P, cooler Sycthe Mugen 5th Gen, RAM 2x8 T-Delta 3600MHz, PSU Corsair CX650 Bronze, GPU Evga 1080Ti SC2, case Imperium Neo 501. I upgraded the CPU from 8700 and the cooler to a Hyper 212. Current temperatures are around 50°C at idle and 98-100°C under load. BIOS settings are standard except for XMP. What might be causing this?

Ensure the cooler maintains good connection and has thermal paste applied between it and the CPU, making sure it's evenly spread.

I wasn't the one assembling the system, but I'm confident the Mugen 5 fan is working properly. For the thermal paste, we should use the one provided in Mugen 5's package.

The CPU voltage readings in hardware info 64 typically reflect the actual supply voltage being used. Under full load, capturing a screenshot for about a minute would require recording system activity during that period. Ensure your CPU cooler is securely installed and makes solid contact to maintain accurate measurements.

There seems to be an issue with the temperature readings. The cooler might not be installed correctly. I pushed a 10700k unit hard, but it didn’t reach the expected temperature.

You can check if the "pump" is working by listening for a consistent flow or pressure, and seeing if the system responds as expected. If you notice improvement in performance or operation, it likely indicates the pump is functioning properly.

I know the 10700k generates a lot of heat, so I left it on the default setting to let the cooler handle it. Are you thinking it's because the cooler isn't fitting properly?
