Hey! I just upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600 and had some trouble getting good performance. I've looked into Ryzen 3rd gen OC with PBO and AutoOC, but they didn't help much. I experimented with different voltage settings and boost frequencies, but I couldn't reach 4.025GHz even with high voltage on the low end. Eventually, I switched to manual OC using Ryzen Master. This time I used CPU-Z and HWinfo, but they gave inaccurate readings. Reaching the destination is manageable, but what about its reliability? Prime 95 offers coverage for one hour, twelve hours, twenty-four hours or more.
That's true, my point is if there's any config I'm missing or doing wrong... I'm planning on doing the stress test tomorrow and I'll post the results.
The only thing noticeable is that I’d likely exchange some of the core speed for memory speed and input speed if you’re just running at 3200/1800. It’s Cas 14 memory, which means it should offer some flexibility to align the memory with the input speed, so maybe 3600/1800 or higher.
I attempted to use the same OC settings in BIOS yesterday, but it didn't boot. I'm really confused about these Ryzen components. I had to turn off PBO in BIOS, though the frequencies in Ryzen Master during gaming seem unrealistic. It looks like I misunderstood something about the concepts. The clock speeds in Ryzen Master show high utilization, but my actual stable frequency is around 4.3Ghz at 1.325V with manual tuning.
