I recently installed a new PC and noticed it takes a very long time to boot. I found a suggestion linking this issue to RAM training. Could you offer any advice or fixes? Your R7 7700 MSI B650 with 32GB RAM, 6000Mhz, and XMP enabled might benefit from some adjustments.
Memory training is typical, but it should only be performed after BIOS modifications. After rebooting, the system should function normally. Have you updated the BIOS? If yes, look for an option labeled MCR or Memory Context Restore and confirm it’s enabled. Keep in mind the settings vary depending on the board.
The training should happen only after you decide. (Unless adjustments are made.) Determine where the longest wait occurs during booting. Is it before Windows loads? During startup? Immediately after logging in? (Assuming Windows is installed.) Provide detailed information about your computer and operating system.
Thank you for your patience. I was trying to reach my BIOS before diving into Windows. Even if I needed to access it, it would take a few minutes. From the earlier message, I turned on Memory Context Restore, which seems to have made a big difference. I’m just concerned the computer might become unstable with this setting active.
