This process is consuming significant memory resources.
I have installed 8GB of RAM on my computer. When trying to open a game such as Battlefield Hardline, my memory usage jumps from around 5GB to about 7.5GB. The game sometimes freezes me, preventing interaction, movement, or clicking. Checking Task Manager showed the numbers didn’t match—while I thought the total was close to 1GB, it actually appeared around 4.5GB. Resource Monitor revealed a program named "IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe" consuming roughly 2GB of RAM. I suspect both this software and the operating system are reserving large portions of my memory. I found this issue linked to Intel Rapid Storage Technology, though I’m unfamiliar with it. On another forum, someone mentioned a driver problem causing memory leaks that lead to high RAM usage. I don’t use Intel Rapid Storage, so I’m unsure why it would be active. I’m using Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 970 graphics card. If anyone has tips on reducing the RAM usage of this process, I’d appreciate it. Thanks ahead.
