I discovered this computer component hidden among old items. The label reads: memory upgrade module, 256MB, PC133, CL3 168-pin DIMM.

A few outdated SD cards here and there. Just a bit of memory in your setup.

It's RAM, the quick storage in a computer that lets it handle several tasks at once and move smoothly between them.

This my friend, is a RAM stick. It's the "Memory" of a computer. If you're wondering why it might be so small (256MB or 128MB) it is because it is *very* old RAM. I don't think you'd find any use for it in a computer today. If you're looking to get rid of it, I'd recommend selling it so others who maintain old hardware might be able to make use of it. Smile

More precisely, it's SDR SDRAM. Quite a bit older, but still not that far back! (I remember installing SIMMs on a motherboard...)

Some outdated SDRAM from before DDR1 isn't useful or valuable anymore.

The Kingston is Value Ram. CL 3 seems to be loose. It probably depends on the platform—DDR1 might fit AMD Slot A or Intel Slot 1, especially from the 90s. DDR into the early 2000s
