Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 should navigate freely in the open environment, testing the graphics card's stability. It will run smoothly on a 450W power supply until you upgrade to a 650W model from MSI. Enjoy gaming and have a great holiday!

Begin with actual GPU testing before proceeding. Once confirmed, enjoy gaming on the system afterward. Install MSI Afterburner to keep an eye on temperatures. Use OCCT for VRAM and GPU checks. Skip FURMARK; consider installing Superposition as well. Run it multiple times. Continue playing games until all tests are finished. Let the computer idle on the Windows screen briefly after logging in, then let it sleep, wake it up, etc. Edited December 24, 2023 by problemsolver Added further checks.

Consider the overall CPU performance and power needs, not just the GPU's power supply requirements. Running a 13700k wouldn't be ideal with an RX 6600 on a 450w unit; it's better with a 3600 having a 65w TDP.

Just install OCCT and execute the tests, that should work.

V2 brings positive updates, and the V2 MWE Bronze Cooler Master ranks as a solid second-place option on the list.

I enhanced my post with additional tests. TL;DR no... you must stress the GPU under various conditions (including gaming) to evaluate all clock speeds and power modes. OCCT will help quickly identify obvious or major issues in VRAM/GPU or cooling. Still, I need to play games extensively across different titles and restart the system multiple times to detect instability at low clocks/power settings—a typical spot for GPU and CPU problems. (refer to my earlier post)

You've got a solid setup now. The GPU runs without issues, and the performance across different resolutions is impressive. Whether to keep playing depends on your goals—try a bit more content to see how it holds up, or you can settle for what you have. Either way, it's working well for you!

You have the option to pause anytime, and the more time you spend on it, the better. Be sure to follow step six below.
