Purchased a brand-new PC built to my specifications. After a few months, it suddenly shut down during use. I took it in for warranty service, but they voided the warranty claiming a bug wing inside the case—a tiny mosquito or insect. What could possibly cause such a failure despite normal operation? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Exactly what occurs when you press the power button is unclear. Fans and lights may activate but then shut down quickly, or they might spin without displaying anything on the screen. Some users reported problems with 7800X3D CPUs dying because of increased SOC voltage, though these should have been resolved by BIOS updates released more than two years ago. It’s possible the motherboard came with an outdated BIOS version. If it functions with the new CPU, ensure you obtain and install the latest BIOS update from the manufacturer’s website.
