I assembled the setup roughly two weeks back. Performed a fresh Windows install (three times) and cleaned the drive. All drivers were downloaded directly from AMD. Everything is up to date. My previous machine was a 5600x and an RX 6800, both stable for similar tasks. The new build will handle stress tests smoothly for over an hour with solid results. (Performance, Cinabench, 3dmark) However, when playing games—three titles at once—the web browser, OBS, DaVinci Resolve, Steam, YouTube, Twitch all freeze occasionally, though the PC itself remains unaffected. No visual glitches appear. I can navigate to Event Viewer but don’t understand what to monitor. I’m comfortable exporting logs if you clarify your requirements. Thanks for any assistance.
Yeah. I believe it is software related. I don't really have a good reason. The timing is random. It can be 30mins, 5mins or 2hrs. I'm going to do another wipe and clean install. I don't have anything critical on the PC yet.
It's unusual to encounter lingering issues even after a full reinstall, as most people tend to focus on software problems. If the issue is software-related, it's advisable to test gradually by running only essential applications to identify if problems emerge once certain software loads. Regarding hardware, their specifications seem reasonable for what they're experiencing; could you share your PSU brand, wattage, and model?
No blue screens, just odd issues. I don’t recall the full list, but in Manor Lords it’s an unexpected access error. I’ll look into Event Viewer later and send an update.
These entries come from Event Viewer. Mostly the programs I use stop working but don’t show blue screens. I can restart them without shutting down the whole system and they function temporarily. I’m not very familiar with this setup. There was an unhandled exception: a memory access violation at address 0x00000001e3013f50. The event is logged under ManorLords_Win64_Shipping. Several services reported issues, including Firefox, DaVinci Resolve, Unity Player, Steam, and system utilities.
