Show some images of the connections between the pump unit, controller, and motherboard. The controller needs two ports: one for the USB header and another for power supply via SATA. The fans on the radiator and pump are linked to the controller.

The first image shows the ICUE prompt issue I encountered, the second displays the SATA cable plug, the third is the 9-pin USB port, the fourth shows the core with the pump block connected, and the fifth is the small cable from the pump block in my CPU_pump1 on the motherboard.

Additionally, the fans operate and activate upon turning on the PC, but it appears the pump isn't functioning properly.

A pump tachometer cable must be connected to the CPU fan header.

Confirmed, I see it in the "pump fan header."

Appears to be in good condition overall. Verify the connector between the pump unit and controller for proper pin connections and solid contact. Check if the fans are displayed in the iCUE software. Access Device Manager via Win+X, then look for any yellow exclamation marks indicating issues. If no clear problems are found, proceed with a replacement.

I share the same view as Riffraff. If the tach meter on the CPU fan header isn’t working, it likely points to an issue with the power supply in the pump.

I've got some news for those who want to stay in the loop. The good part is the cooler is now running, but the bad part is it's not quite right. Turns out the problem with the startup isn't related to the cooler or any mistakes I made—it’s actually the firmware being messy. It kept looping through incorrect logic about the pump and fans, which caused it to crank up the fans and flash red lights. Even after some resets, the glitch remains, keeping the fans at maximum and stripping me of control over updates or fan settings. While my CPU no longer stays stuck at 60-70°C idle, the system still feels like it's trying to take off. I'm planning to file a support ticket with Corsair and hope they can fix it. Thanks for all the help—just don’t buy this cooler if you want reliability.
