This new PC is not functioning as intended with the 4070 component.
Work completed today: CPU model R5 7600x, GPU ASUS 4070 Dual OC, RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2x16GB 6000Mhz, compatible with EXPO. MOBO MSI B650-S (latest BIOS), PSU MSI MAG A750GL. OS is Win11 23H2, drivers installed at 546.17. After restart, performance matches online averages; sometimes fps drops to half, then recovers. Previously, disabling EXPO and using Gen 4 PCIe version didn’t help much. I’m now reinstalling drivers (updating to 546.19) using DDU and NVCleanstall as usual. Still unsure what to do next.
What games are active? Background processes running smoothly? Temperatures are within normal range? Any signs of CPU or GPU throttling?
Times are typical, staying below 80°C for the GPU and 60-70°C for the CPU. GPU utilization in Task Manager hovers near 80%. No overheating or throttling issues detected. Steam Discord and standard apps are running smoothly, everything appears clean.
Using Horizon Zero Dawn to benchmark, not the best but is what I have now, 130-140 fps when working (as expected online), 60 when not Tried even fortnite, same thing
When set to 60 frames per second, Vsync might be activated. Often it gets turned off during initial setup.
At sixty, it can feel restricted, narrowing our choices to just a couple or three options.
vsync locks at 165fps means it's stable, though it can still fluctuate up and down.
