I new PC I assembled yesterday isn't starting up. Pressing the power button lights up but the debug display shows random numbers and then loops for about a minute. Once it stops, it stays on C1 and turns off after ten seconds, then restarts the cycle. During this process, the red light on the motherboard switches between DRAM and CPU signals. There were moments when it worked without a cycle but failed to boot completely, and the monitor didn't receive any signal. On one occasion it didn't power down at all, only the VGA red light stayed on.
A faulty memory controller on the CPU can trigger the 54 error code. I checked various codes and noticed that when only one RAM stick is installed in the correct slot, the system boots normally. However, if it tries repeatedly with specific error codes like 28, 54 C2, or C3/C4, it suggests a possible issue with the motherboard or CPU memory controller.
It's also worth noting that only one DIMM slot is available, the one farthest from the CPU.
