This new i7 6770k setup keeps malfunctioning.
I just installed a new Z170-PRO GAMING ATX with an i7 6770k cooled by a Corsair H80 that I've owned for four years. I can run AIDA64 all night at various CPU core ratios, but after adjusting the BIOS and enabling XMP, it fails at each level. The only changes I made in the BIOS were the CPU core ratio and turning on XMP. I tried removing the H80 and reapplying Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste, but that didn't help either. Any advice? A new cooler maybe? Thanks ahead of time.
When the system fails after powering on XMP, the issue likely lies with the RAM. Modify the DRAM voltage, VCCIO voltage, and VCCSA voltage.
I am currently using the Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 DDR4-3333 HX433C16PB3K2/16 MM2491, which comes with a permanent warranty from an authorized Japanese distributor.
