Hey everyone, I just finished setting up my first PC about two weeks ago. Everything seems connected properly, but I’ve noticed it sometimes restarts when I try to shut it down. At first I thought maybe I accidentally pressed restart, but now it’s been happening a few times. It usually happens after long gaming sessions. I usually come home around 11 p.m. from work and play games until about 2 a.m., then I turn off the computer right away. I’m not sure if stopping it at that moment is the reason. I read online that shutdowns can trigger restarts if the system crashes, which makes sense since my PC is brand new with all the latest specs—Ryzen 5 3600, ASRock ATX B4450 PRO4 board, GTX 1660, 6GB RAM, Corsair 3200, 550W PSU, and Windows 10.

You can set power button functions in two locations: BIOS and within your operating system (Windows has them in the advanced power management section).
