Hello! I’m just starting out with PCs and built my first one in November. Everything seems to be working well so far—temperatures are normal, performance is solid with 32GB RAM, a Ryzen 5 5600X, and a 3060. I can play games for long periods without problems, but when the PC is idle or I’m streaming on HBO Max, it freezes. In that state, I can’t open anything except task manager, and I have to press the power button to shut it down. I’ve tried fixing things like checking corrupt files, reinstalling Windows, and removing bloatware, but nothing seems to help. My system runs smoothly otherwise. I ran a RAM check and tested my SSD, both seem fine. This freezing issue keeps happening, so I’m trying to resolve it myself. Thanks for your understanding!

Have you refreshed the system information? This sometimes helps fix problems instantly. It seems like your RAM might be a bit low. Which RAM module are you using? You could also test with a 1GB 16GB stick for a short period to check if it resolves the issue.

It might be a recurring issue I encounter occasionally. When using VLC Player alongside Linux while browsing the web, I notice problems only when online and listening to music. It seems the software or player might be causing a lockup, making everything unresponsive except the music. A system reset could resolve it, allowing the music to continue while other functions freeze. You may want to update your HBO streaming software, as that could fix the problem.

Hmm, at least I'm not alone in this. To be truthful, my thoughts are relieved my system is working properly. While putting it together, I became really focused making sure everything worked right. It's nice to see my setup running smoothly as I once envisioned. I'll definitely look into a solution for the crash—maybe streaming on Edge will help. Either way, I'm confident my PC isn't completely broken.

Which browser are you currently using? It’s uncertain if that’s accurate, but the approach would involve dropping that browser and testing an alternative to replicate the process. If successful, proceed by removing the browser and continuing outward.
