I recently replaced my cooling fans in the PC, swapping from 4 Corsair LL 140mm to 4 Corsair ML 140mm Elite RGB. I checked their positions and noticed they’re mounted on radiators—one 420mm front, one 140mm back, with custom water cooling. They’re generally quieter now, though I did pick up another sound from the fans. It’s mostly noticeable between 400 and 900 RPM, where it sounds like something stuck inside, sounding like a tiny piece of paper. It’s not obvious at lower speeds but becomes really bothersome when they spin fast. I’ve had similar experiences with Mag lev fans, especially on my Commander Pro model where I could pinpoint each fan. My old fans didn’t make this noise. I contacted Scan, who suggested returning the unit. Corsair asked me to record it, which they understood. I tried recording with my phone, but the sound remains unclear—pitch shifts and it’s still bothersome. If anyone else faces this problem or has tips, please let me know—I’d really appreciate it!
