CPU-Z showed rev.00 for the chipset only, not the full motherboard revision. The AI Suite indicated it was just the chipset revision. Since I removed everything from the AI Suite, the system now uses a 2700X GPU with an 2080 non-TI chip, connected via x8 PCIe O. Any other details?

I haven't installed it on another device, honestly—I didn’t encounter that idea before. The fact that it’s a zip file means it shouldn’t vary based on the computer it’s on. Still, I did attempt to flash it from an USB drive into the BIOS.

Your device's browser, security software, or storage could damage the downloaded files. Even with a bad RAM chip it might occur. Have you reset the CMOS before attempting the update?

Out of curiosity and because I’m a bit clueless, I attempted to flash the 4901 using USB with fat32. Interestingly, I received a new error: “Selected File is not a proper bios.” It’s unclear if this is helpful or harmful.

You're right, and I didn't capture the CMOS clearly.

Yes, you should have extracted the file and confirmed the presence of the CAB file. Resetting the CMOS prior to flashing helps avoid issues where altered settings disrupt the process.

I just attempted the download on my laptop using a smaller USB stick formatted cleanly for fat32. After clearing the CMOS and only adding the cap file, the system still reports it can’t recognize the BIOS properly. I’m confused about what’s going wrong.

Additionally, the EZ Update isn't detecting any changes and isn't displaying any details.

Check the Rog Vii Hero and Rog Vii Hero Wi-Fi guides. Compare both options.
