Hello, building a PC with the i7700k is worth considering if you're not planning to overclock. It's not clear if it's the optimal choice without overclocking, depending on your needs.

Yes. The temperature remains at 600mhz above the i7 7700. However, keep in mind you'll still require an aftermarket cooler for the 7700k, which will increase the overall expense.

if you're paying extra for a feature you won't use, it's unclear if it's a solid yes. It might be quicker than the standard 7700 as noted, but it could also signal a future plan to upgrade to a better motherboard and overclock it.
