Good morning everyone, I’m having trouble locating reliable information online about why my package stays at 80°C–90°C while my CCD readings stay normal during idle or gaming. I’ve attached a screenshot from HWMonitor. My NZXT Kraken 360 AIO is handling the cooling, but I’m unsure if there’s an issue with the chip itself.

Everything functions perfectly, which is why the sensors rely on their placement. These components generate significant heat, built for operating at 95°C—similar to AM5 standards. You might adjust slightly, but X3D chips usually run warmer; consider voltage tuning if needed.

I’m worried the package isn’t cooling down properly, even when it’s idle. It seems the temperature stays high—like 80°C despite a coolant flowing for an hour.

My performance follows this pattern. I’d run a Cinebench R23 test and aim for scores between 4.8 to 4.9GHz consistently. If it drops below that, the mounting pressure with the AIO could be an issue.
