The MSI B660M mortar DDR4 setup isn't fitting correctly with the standoffs in Lian Li Lancool Mesh II ARGB. Did you miss a step or need guidance on installation?
For a micro ATX board you often have to reposition some standoffs to align it right. Usually theres a small hex to phillips adapter supplied with the case to be able to unscrew and reposition them.
Thanks for your message. I've already modified the standoffs according to the holes in the motherboard. The issue remains—those holes don't line up perfectly with the standoffs. It seems they’re off by about 1mm, so pushing the board left an additional millimeter would help align it. Also, the middle standoff intended for the motherboard isn’t fitting correctly. I’m trying my best despite these challenges.
I apologize if my explanation wasn’t clear enough. This is my first PC build, so I’m still learning.
Keep up the great work! Following your video was really helpful—thank you for sharing such a detailed guide. You all do an amazing job!
Occasionally you need to apply a bit of pressure. Slightly push the board backward and align them properly. When the central piece fits, it will secure itself. Also verify that the backplate is correctly positioned at the rear and that the fan housing isn’t obstructed between the board and the case.
Thanks in advance! It's good to know it worked and I completed the build.
Thanks a lot. The backplate aligned correctly, and I applied a fair amount of pressure. It still didn’t fit, so Jeppes recommended taking out the mid standoff. Once that was done, everything came together properly. I finished the project. Appreciate your help!
