You cannot install two operating systems simultaneously. The processor won't recognize Windows 7 as a proper system.

Using vertulisation on your CPU (all new chips support this) and IOMMU hardware pass-through works well with Windows 7, 64-bit, and HyperV—performance remains nearly identical to native. For Windows 10, it’s a viable option. Another approach is maintaining an older system and using Input Director as an IP KM switch, which has proven effective for gaming on XP, offering dual-boot capability in 98SE and broad native support for older DX APIs and MS-DOS.

I find it hard to be too clear, but these updates aren't new. Windows 7 and Windows 8 don’t work well with the Z170 chipset, and I doubt the A88X supports Windows 7 at all.

As you mentioned, favoring an operating system is a personal view. Opinions vary, for instance: Windows 10 mandates restarts and updates even when users are actively working—something Luke experienced on his WAN. It restricts you to limited "active hours" and then triggers resets once you leave. It might delay the issue temporarily, but eventually it becomes a problem. This is unacceptable to me. It also conducts extensive data collection, which isn’t as concerning for most people. Moreover, Windows 10 installs pre-installed applications that can’t be removed easily, and the only way to remove them was through complicated file management steps that didn’t fully erase their icons, leading to reinstallation within a week. Not tolerable. Particularly problematic on devices with limited storage. Even worse is the practice of installing paid apps like Candy Crush without your consent, simply because they’re suggested for free. This isn’t acceptable. I truly hope Microsoft addresses these concerns. While some features (forced updates, mandatory restarts) are aimed at the general public, it’s possible to add an option in a hidden menu for users who prefer not to enable them—even if it’s hidden from casual users. Regarding the monetization tactics (data mining, forced installs), I see these as consequences of piracy. Many people today refuse to pay for software, which is concerning. Recently, I spoke with some YouTube commenters who said they wouldn’t buy a Windows copy at Best Buy but would pirate it at home—effectively stealing the same product. This clear disregard for the law, fairness, and the effort of Microsoft’s developers has driven them to explore other revenue methods. That’s why I’m more frustrated with the community than with them. Sorry for the rant, but I’m focused: Windows 10 (in my view) is problematic. These are significant issues I can’t ignore, so I hope Microsoft resolves them (preferably) or at least ensures compatibility with newer hardware.
