Hello everyone, I’m using an i7 920 that’s been overclocked to 4GHz, which puts me behind in terms of current tech. I’m thinking about upgrading to AMD Zen (Rysen) since it seems promising, but I’ve heard it might only work with Windows 10. Is that accurate? Also, I prefer Windows 7 and want to stay on that platform.
It seems like you're considering a move. The Skylake price might drop, so buying could be a good idea.
I’m worried Windows 10 might not work with my Flight Sim and old games I still enjoy, like FS9 with lots of add-ons. I’ve never upgraded because I spent a lot on the original versions. MS Train Simulator, C & C Generals, and Star Trek Command 3 are all fine on Windows 7.
I don't have personal opinions, but I can say whether such a reaction is likely based on past examples.
mainly because of the new designs, the MS is unwilling to develop for older Windows editions (it seems they aren't enabled by default or are not optimized).
