I recently assembled a fairly affordable gaming PC for my livestreaming requirements. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/mprime27/s...iew=DnLKXL (list of components) Here, I found the Gigabyte Aorus H470i Pro AX motherboard with only one 16x PCIe port. While running the system for streaming, I might need to install an additional PCIe capture card. Above the Elgato Cam Link Pro, I considered the 4K60 Pro because the Cam Link Pro tends to behave unpredictably when using my main PC as an input. By the way (this isn’t crucial), my primary display is a 1440p 144Hz monitor. The Cam Link Pro doesn’t officially support 1440p input, but I can mirror my main screen to it at that resolution and it functions—though not perfectly. My desktop setup is okay. CS:GO suffers from terrible frame tearing, likely due to the difference in refresh rates between the PC and the Cam Link Pro. Rocket League runs in fullscreen, but signal drops. Borderless works but caps at 60fps (looks very low). Phasmophobia shows strange flickering. These are the games I’ve tried, and the issues vary a lot from one title to another. Overall, it’s been quite a learning curve. I’m planning to add the Elgato 4K60 Pro PCIe capture card, but I’m already using just one PCIe slot. Would the Aorus H470i Pro AX support splitting the PCIe lane? If yes, I’d consider buying a riser and adding both cards alongside the CLP—they’re both x4. (I’m also unsure where to begin when shopping for something like this; any guidance would be really helpful.) Thanks in advance!
Check it using the chipset specifications. This build is quite niche. There are two expansion ports, one occupied by the Cam Link Pro Card. I’m not sure about Node 202, but there’s room for two 1-slot capture cards. My concern is making that single x16 slot fit into either two x8 or even x4 slots. If it relies on the chipset, that’s fine. Another choice would be replacing the card with external capture devices (though I’d rather avoid shortcuts).

Only certain Z chipsets such as Z490 enable bifurcation, but this varies by model. Additionally, BIOS settings play a role—some Z490 models without SLI support also lack bifurcation capabilities.
I don't have specific information on which Z490 boards are compatible. You may need to check manufacturer specifications or forums for details on riser and splitter options.
No Mini-ITX Z490 MB models offer bifurcation support. One mATX Z490 MB model does, specifically the MSI MPG Z490M Gaming Edge Wifi.
