I confirmed your GPU doesn’t have a switch, but I’d appreciate more feedback if possible. Thanks!
It’s crucial to pinpoint the problem and confirm it comes from your graphics card. Consider asking someone else for a card just to verify. Alternatively, bring your own to them for testing. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to send it to a repair shop that can diagnose it. There’s probably no other solution. Rushing to buy a new card before confirming the issue isn’t from it is not advisable and may pose risks.
yeah thats true, theres a 2 week return window at best buy so i think im going to do that since i dont know anyone who has a gpu for me to borrow. alaska is a very isolated place.
Best Buy has a support group named “geek squad.” I tried them and they mostly just checked my files and passwords. I swear I’ve never had any issues with emails claiming my accounts were being accessed before I allowed them to test my computer. I’m a pretty clueless person for not logging out of everything and keeping passwords secure. They mentioned they only had an 1050 for testing, so it probably wouldn’t help much. Living in Alaska isn’t really what it seems—it’s only great if you own your land and stay away from everyone else. Or if you live in a quiet white neighborhood.
I believe geek squad is mainly for older individuals who don’t speak English, since many of those types of people were asking simple questions. I’ve only used msi kombustor and it functions well; I haven’t attempted reinstalling yet. I plan to try again tomorrow.
Try it now and see how benchmarks such as heaven3d furmark, 3dmark work. They depend on dx11 and dx12. If direct X isn't installed properly, nothing will function either. It's almost time for 1 PM—should I send you a message then? That's the worst in Alaska... New Year always comes last.
