I constructed my latest PC around three weeks ago and have faced this problem ever since. I attempt to play games such as GoW, Cyberpunk, Forza5 and Apex. It either fails to load into the game or I’m already loaded within it, then crashes when trying to start a game and displays the error message you shared. I’ve tested countless solutions—over a million attempts—but nothing has fixed this issue. My system runs Windows 11 Pro 64-bit with a 12,600k core CPU, an Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A, and various gaming components including a Patriot Viper Steel 16GB DDR4 RAM, an MSI RTX 3060 Ventus 3x, and storage solutions. I’ve re-seated everything, reinstalled games and drivers (including ddu and BIOS), checked temperatures, and even reinstalled the OS twice. I’ve searched extensively online but haven’t found a resolution. Everything else on the machine works fine—browsing, Minecraft with shaders, music playback. Please share your thoughts or any advice you might have.

The drivers were from MSI or Nvidia.

I received them using NVIDIA driver version 31.0.15.2802 on December 22, 2022, with a later update to version 528.02.

Consider checking the device manager and turning off Intel Integrated Graphics. See how it affects things.

Some video cards have a dual bios with a toggle switch is that one of them? Keep in mind this is just a sanity check to make sure nothing got missed.

It seems you're unsure if it's one of those things. Could you clarify what you're referring to? I'm here to help!

It's essentially the same as flipping the memOK switch on the motherboard. Searching online for "gpu bios toggle switch" should help. However, this might not solve your problem. I recommend testing the graphics card in another PC or using a similar one in yours. Only way to confirm if you need to return it for warranty is by checking if you've already updated your OS with a fresh installation.

I've reinstalled OS twice before. I don't have a spare GPU, but I could purchase another one if needed. However, I prefer not to replace it. I just need to check, and I don't have the BIOS switch.

Typically it involves a small slide switch. There are two BIOS chips and the switch changes between them. You could update the BIOS, flip the switch, and still run with an older version if needed. It’s often used for overclocking. It can also be applied to motherboards, though this is now rare. I was surprised to see one on my GPU, particularly because it isn’t a high-end overclocking board.
