I checked the link you shared. It appears to point to an Amazon product page for a WPA4220 broadband kit. Based on what you described, it seems you're looking for a PoE switch or related equipment.

No, that's another 2.4GHz repeater and will not improve your experience at all. You can get a POE 5 port switch for like $30: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-SF10...rs&sr=1-29 Just connect the AP to the switch and then switch to the router OR you can get a 30w PoE injector but those are as if not more expensive than the switch.

I’m not very familiar with wifis. I didn’t set up this thread correctly. My router is in another room, and I’m having trouble getting a strong signal. I can’t use an ethernet cable from my room to the router, and I can’t run a cable all the way from the living room to my room. I’m only able to use wireless connections. What’s an AP?

They offer a single device for basic internet use, possibly including affordable Wi-Fi. A separate access point can be linked, with the ISP’s wireless turned off for a smoother experience from the same location.

Reflecting on the situation, what steps should I take? I need clear guidance and specific resources. My ADHD makes it tough to grasp things, so links would be really helpful!

You may require an additional 3-foot Ethernet cable for safety, but the two provided links should cover all your needs.

You're on a tight budget, but that's okay. For now, you need an AC repeater that improves your signal without causing lag. Something under £60 would work perfectly.

Repeaters reduce your bandwidth by half because of their design. They also likely raise latency, making them unsuitable for online gaming, especially competitive play. In short, repeaters aim to extend your WiFi coverage slightly but aren't optimized for fast speeds.

This product supports POE, it should improve your Wi-Fi performance slightly.
