You set up a temporary version of Windows 10 with the correct icon, but later had to reinstall Windows 8.1 for some reason. After reinstalling and updating, the Windows 10 logo still doesn’t appear. Checking your email confirms you reserved the upgrade, which suggests it should work even without the logo. The lack of icon on other devices might be because each account uses its own profile, so the logo isn’t shared across accounts.

Activate Windows properly now. Check computer properties for the genuine version. Install all the latest updates. Then look at this helpful thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...65b?auth=1

I followed this tutorial to make the icon show up. I tried it on two devices and it functioned well for me. Generally, it prompts you to execute a script, which then takes some time (around 10 to 30 minutes for me) before the icon appears. You can find more details here: http://techdows.com/2015/06/how-to-enabl...skbar.html

Exactly what you said, but before you reinstalled windows I had the icon, but now that I haven’t, I’m sure everything will be fine, though.

That action was recorded in the command prompt, indicating success in trying to execute the schedule task. However, you still don’t have access to the icon.

Yes, it clearly resembles the intended design.

I have Windows 8.1, which appears a bit different. It shows I can change the product key. When I go to 'PC and Devices' and click 'PC Info,' it says the edition is Windows 8.1 and activation confirms Windows is active. I own the correct version, as I purchased the CD and used the product code, which is a 64-bit edition.
