The initial three tasks are consuming 9GB of your storage. This means you have 6GB remaining for the subsequent steps in the sequence. It’s not that you’re just using 8GB at a time.

Yes, the initial three processes are consuming 9GB, which is a bit high. The remaining processes don’t add up close to 7GB or even 6GB. What’s going on?

Verify if any memory appears as reserved hardware. Examine the Resource Monitor for a more precise memory allocation view. In summary, total processes visible from your screenshots total about 10 GB (62% of 16 GB).

Great 10GB storage! Thanks a lot. No special memory hardware needed. I haven’t touched the Recourse Monitor before, which makes me a bit nervous about how to proceed.

Open the application, navigate to the Memory section, expand the Physical Memory part, capture a screenshot. Also consider using RAMMap from Microsoft's Sysinternals to see driver usage and overall RAM allocation. Task Manager typically doesn't display memory consumption from virtual machines or drivers in the Processes view.
