usually people attempt to repair the board themselves and use the $20 USD I spent on shipping as a tech support fee. If I can probably fix that section, I might just bridge it or check if it works. Alternatively, removing a resistor from a damaged board could save me that money, especially if I knew the damage in advance.
The MSI issue is unclear. Request a refund from the seller or eBay. It seems someone altered the board, and MSI shouldn't be held accountable for that (they won't).
