This laptop Acer model 2014 has an unusual power-on problem.
my laptop powers on with any power adapter connected in all situations.
[battery fully charged]
when the lid is closed, it stops working when I open it.
if i had closed the lid once before,
1. it doesn’t turn on when I open it.
2. it fails to start when I press the power button.
3. i can’t force it to shut down or restart.
4. after shutting down and closing the lid, it won’t power on unless the adapter is connected.
what might be the problem?
Attempt to detach the battery, take out the RAM from the laptop (if it isn't permanently attached to the motherboard), then press and maintain the power button for thirty seconds. Reinsert the RAM if possible, and restart without using the battery. If successful, remove the battery and try to boot with the adapter connected but not the battery.
