I’m using be quiet products with both my current and older machines whenever possible, and I’ve always appreciated their performance and look. Right now, I’m evaluating DARK ROCK PRO 4 for this build. But wait—be-quiet says it’s not compatible with my motherboard. Is this because of the height of the RAM (which could be fixed with low-profile sticks), or is it a total mismatch due to the size of the cooler and the VRM cooling design? In my past setup, I had a mini-ITX Gigabyte board and used a DARK ROCK PRO 3; the website said it wouldn’t work. I can’t verify that online, but I remember it didn’t fit. Still, I bought them and they fit perfectly with low-profile RAM, just like they should. After a few years, I’m facing the same issue again, but now I’m more informed. Before, I clicked the exclamation mark but no information showed up, so thank you. Another observation is that the DARK ROCK "PRO" version displays an "X," indicating full incompatibility. However, I was expecting this due to RAM height issues. After rechecking the site again, I noticed the non-PRO version warns about "ram compatibility issues." It seems the quiet website has accounted for these concerns. Now I’m confident the PRO version won’t fit regardless of RAM height. Thanks to you, Real_NC, for clarifying this.
