Hello, I posted this on Motherboards, but this seems to be a better forum. I came here hoping to get some assistance since I’m struggling with my current setup. Recently, I’ve noticed problems on the 3.3V line of the motherboard. The software reports around 3.040V during idle, but it drops to 2.9V or even 2.8V, which leads to freezing. I can move my mouse, but everything else freezes. Initially, I thought the power supply was faulty, but after replacing it, the issue persisted. I reset the BIOS to factory settings, and it now reads 3.184V after a few restarts. However, the problem reappears later. With a voltmeter, I measured 3.33V on the connector. Could this be related to the motherboard? Additionally, there’s another small issue: copying large files from the M.2 drive crashes the system file explorer. My setup includes: Asus WS 390 Pro i9 9900K Corsair 64GB (4x 16GB) 3600Mhz Samsung Evo 970 Pro NVMe 1TB Samsung EVO 970 Pro NVMe 2TB Nvidia RTX 3080 FE 10GB Corsair HX850. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
It might be due to the multimeter's reading or the PC's interpretation. The device could show 3.3V while the system registers a lower value.
I'm sure I'll complete this tonight. Not sure if I've already updated the SSD. I'll check that out.
The PSU is working properly, supplying 3.3V to the MB. However, after that point, it performs an action that doesn't seem right, lol.
Battery voltage was 3.1V. Switched to a fresh unit, which is 3.3V. No improvement. Both drives run the newest software updates.
