I upgraded my RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, but the usage still increased to 14–15 GB. It’s possible new processes or background tasks are being handled. Check for updates, background apps, or system settings that might affect memory consumption.

Open Task Manager, sort results by highest usage, and review memory consumption, ignoring any reserved hardware.

Firefox is composed of two major parts: WWAHost.exe and a program linked to my printer. Even though the printer isn’t being used, there’s still an issue.

Storage systems will retain additional data in RAM when sufficient capacity is available.

Only way to be sure is to check Task Manager data before and after upgrading RAM. You're lucky if you used about 10GB before, and you might reach 12GB often before then. But I'm the clown who likes to stay open to 50 tabs at once across three browsers.

My idea was that having more RAM improves performance. In fact, I still have plenty of memory available to handle new games, which would need around 16 GB.
