Hi there! Your SSD performance with The Division is quite impressive—running at around 40 FPS in 4K even with the lowest settings and SLI scaling at 61% sounds solid. It’s not uncommon to feel a bit disappointed if you need to drop to 1440p for certain titles, especially since you’re eyeing a future upgrade to Pascal. The 104 chip is likely still on the horizon, so you’ll have time to wait for the next generation.

VRAM consumption depends on the game's graphics demands. High-resolution scenes or complex effects will use more VRAM, potentially causing lag if it runs low.

Clearly full performance isn't an issue for me, but FPS and SLI scaling are the main concerns. It's really frustrating. The GPUs are running around 61-65%, which is fine, but the CPU hits 100% during loading for about a minute—wow!

When VRAM is completely used, the system must move data to another type of memory, which won’t improve your gaming performance.

Certainly it will, yet even with high settings like 4K ultra/high on Shadow of Mordor, I maintained smooth performance at 90-100 FPS. Running out of VRAM was common with just 16GB RAM, but now I have 32GB available. SLI Scaling performed much better in that game. It seems my graphics cards feel quite outdated now.

I can share the relevant information about your VRAM usage during The Division. However, I don’t have access to real-time metrics or logs. Please check your system’s monitoring tools for accurate details. Boosting memory might not always enhance graphics performance, and swapping to system memory isn’t recommended unless necessary.

780TI requires 3GB of VRAM and consumes the full capacity. It doesn’t involve any swapping, so I’m surprised it didn’t work before.

1440p seems to be the optimal choice.

I agree, I recall playing smoothly in 4K, but then things shifted and 4K became really tough on my graphics cards, which is disappointing.
