This occurs unpredictably during idle and occasionally after starting COD (such as when connecting a peripheral like the graphics card). The PC will partially crash—HDD light still attempting to save a minidump—but all PCI/USB connections shut down, including the screen, making it impossible to observe what happens on the display. According to WhoCrashed minidump analysis: Bugcheck code 0x124 (genuineintel.sys). From WinDBG: BUGCHECK_CODE: 124. Bugcheck name: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. Driver or module involved: genuineintel.sys. In the minidump, a file at 011624-22765-01.dmp was recorded. Dump attributes show 0x1808. Kernel generated triage dump. Process name: System. Stack text: ffffd181... The issue appears to be related to system stability under certain conditions.
This setup uses the standard configuration without any overclocking. It runs at the default speed set by ASUS, with a fixed 1.35mV base clock.
Have you refreshed your drivers? Have you modified the system information? Certain updates improve speed and reliability.
I refreshed the latest BIOS (previously one version delayed), turned off MCE, maintained my OC at 5.5 GHz x8c, e-cores synced at 4.4Ghz, Vcore set to 1.37V with turboboost up to 1.48v when required (it rarely reaches that due to HWINFO), LLC line=6 (below that it causes crashes in CBr23), and I'm eager to see the results. So far everything seems fine. Still getting around 33,000 on CBr23... that's disappointing. I understand a score of 38,000 at stock ASUS Z790 settings is achievable even without MCE—any advice would be greatly appreciated. My overall SP number is 96 if that's useful.
