I'm not sure if I'm making a mistake with my overclocking attempts. Over the years I've pushed my 2500k, 6600k and now 8700k, so I have some background. Am I just incredibly lucky to have such a high clock at this voltage? Stressed in Prime 26.6 for 18 hours and 10 minutes and everything seemed fine when I got home today. The test was still running, no errors... nothing. It looks too good to be true.

With 18 hours on prime95, you're in a great position. Great job getting that golden chip! You could likely push a bit further with Delid, though 5.3ghz across all cores seems to be the maximum before LN2.

you're doing great with your 18 hours on prime95! Congrats on the golden chip. You could likely improve slightly with delidding, but 5.3ghz across all cores is near the maximum before LN2. I've swapped the original IHS for a larger copper one and have no other stress tests in mind to run.

Realbench typically follows prime95 as the next test. Allocate 8GB of memory for it.

There are several programs available, but I didn't feel it was essential to run them if Prime95 could operate for over 12 hours.
