Not too surprising, just a few things I haven't tested yet. I'll give them another shot after my New Year trip. I'm using the first slot, though 4.0 didn't help much. I've tried 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and Auto, but nothing worked.

According to vBIOS, the Nvidia UEFI firmware released for handling black screens is available. If not, I have no further information.

Set all slots to 4.0 and test in the 2nd and 3rd positions. If possible, request a return and receive an Asus MB.

Unfortunately the board only has one 1x16 slot. The others are too small for my GPU. I’m past the 30-day RMA window at Microcenter because I thought it was a GPU issue. Still, after returning from my family trip, I’m still stuck. I found an actual vBIOS on ASUS’ site, but it didn’t help. Eventually I reassembled old parts and built an Intel board with DDR3 RAM, using one of the same drives and a Windows copy I tried before. It worked perfectly, showing Windows with an Nvidia driver. This suggests the issue might be with my motherboard, CPU, RAM, or BIOS settings. I can’t remember which setting I changed, as I’ve tried many. I’ve heard about some PCI power-saving options but haven’t found them yet. The PC runs fine with my 3090, so I’m really confused about what’s going on. Any advice would be appreciated. For reference, I have an AsRock X670e Pro RS.
