I’m switching my GPU from a 6700XT to a 6950XT. I’m using an MSI B550 motherboard and a 5800X CPU. After installing the new card, no display appears on my monitors—it won’t even show BIOS. The fans and RGB light up when I power on the PC, but nothing works with the display ports or HDMI. I’ve tried reseating the GPU, using two different ports, and none functioned. No error codes appear after the first boot attempt. When I reinstalled the graphics drivers from my old setup, it worked fine. The main concern is I might have uninstalled previous drivers, but I wasn’t sure if that was the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Drivers activate only after you start Windows. Because both cards are from AMD, they should function using the identical drivers. If possible, test the card on another system, though it could be faulty right away.

Is there any possibility it’s a BIOS update? I assumed these were mainly for CPU upgrades, but I realize my existing BIOS is older than the new card.

The remaining components include four 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 RAM modules, a WD Blue SN570 1TB SSD, and a Seasonic 850W power supply.

The latest GPU seems faulty. Did you get it brand new or used?

Purchased it brand new from Best Buy and received a refund. I’m planning to wait and observe the performance of the 7700/7800xt before deciding on another attempt.
