Absolutely, there could be few options. But if someone even thinks about it, the first thing they verify is availability. With Linux, every additional possibility is considered beneficial.
I quit playing CSGO because I kept encountering a lot of toxic players and cheaters one after another, which made me stop competing. I’d prefer faceit, but the anti-cheat and Windows updates... I’m dual-booting, but it takes about 20 minutes to boot up for any reason.
If it were for me, I would have made intrusive anti-cheat software illegal everywhere except in official competitions. Because 1) no one should be compelled to share the whole system and all its data just so they can play a silly game, and 2) apparently, this software doesn’t stop cheating. I’ll never play any game with Denuvo, whether on Windows or Linux.
