This game is completely frustrating for me.
Why can’t Microsoft mess things up anymore? I’m stuck restarting my PC every time I want to play. It only works once, then I have to turn it off and back on. If the game crashes, I’m forced to restart again just to try. Plus, now I can’t log in at all—it keeps saying “Access is denied.” This is super frustrating because I spent $60 on a 100GB download and still can’t get it to work properly. Can someone help? Would a refund be possible? Also, I didn’t mention that this is Forza Horizon 3, but you have to understand how upset I am right now.
Have you explored the turn10 forums? Their assistance is outstanding, and although I understand your point, the initial release wasn't flawless—yet I've seen something truly unique. Thank you for facing this challenge; it’s an enjoyable experience! Wishing you the best.
I didn't even talk about the frame dropping and stuttering. That's another big problem on its own. And their fix only made it worse.
Have you attempted to turn on dynamic optimization? Also consider adjusting the video settings slightly, as I suspect you might not be able to use the maximum settings. Plus, if you own an Xbox One, you could also download the game for free and play it there temporarily.
I finally managed to log into Xbox. It's strange having to create a registry entry just for it to function. Now I'm hoping to start the game but expect it to freeze and crash repeatedly, forcing me to restart the computer each time... This game is really frustrating.
Perfectly fresh installation of graphics drivers, a fresh game setup, and maybe a complete Windows reset would be the top options.
The 290X continues to face issues with crashes and forum posts. After some attempts, it runs more smoothly.
The 290X is decent, but with today’s demanding games it might not handle the max load well. It’s about two years old now. I’d consider a new game install and maybe a fresh driver setup. Or just a driver update. If you haven’t updated your drivers recently, that could definitely be the issue. I’m sure I often skip updating them.
