I'm considering getting NBA 2K17 on my PC but haven't made up my mind yet. I really enjoy it on PS4 when visiting friends, though I don’t own a console. The Steam reviews seem pretty negative, and the game hasn’t been updated much since October 12th. Most of the issues mentioned are about hackers in MyPark, which isn’t a big concern for me since I rarely play online. I’m curious if anyone has the game and can share their experience—especially what bugs they’ve found. I don’t want to wait for an older version just because I know it’s possible.

If you don't want online it's a great buy. Game is fantastic on PC. It just has no community because everyone plays on console. I buy it twice every year. Once on PS4 for the much better online and once on pc for graphics and the big modding scene it has. Oh and hackers are the least of you concerns. When I said no one plays it on pc I mean it. You will not find anyone to play with in the park.

I often question why these sports games don’t offer a console version. It feels like PC players aren’t getting much benefit from that setup.

It's a totally different experience on the console. The 2k version builds an MMORPG-style environment where thousands gather in various areas, engaging in 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 matches with fun interactions like dances, emotes, outfits, accessories, and celebrations instead of traditional loot mechanics. That concept is fascinating but doesn't translate well to PC since it doesn't appeal to players there.
