So recently I decided to redownload far cry 3 to replay it. Howeer, it seems to me like I'm getting some sort of artifacting going on with my textures. Like certain rock textures become pixelated and flickery. I'm gonna assume it's not artifactinf though because my gpu is cool as a cucumber at 60C pushing 100+ frames at 1440p. But the texture flickering is just driving me bonkers. Could it just be because of the massive amount of gpu drivers since the games release? Also, the heavy outlines just make the game look like borderlands. Please help. My gpu is a 1070 and my CPU is a 6700k.

It's interesting, FC3 really stands out as a quality title despite being old.
