I believe it would be good to add a sleep mode feature. The i9-7980XE, x299M-WS, GSKIL DDR4 4000, 2TB NVMe, dual-voltage architecture, PlayCard support, and professional water cooling (DIY) will work well with an old Lenovo machine running Intel Pentium 4 HT.
That processor costs twice as much as the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X and runs about 26.5% quicker in multithreaded tasks. It doesn’t offer a strong deal unless you’re targeting AVX jobs, which I’d suggest skip for now. Better options like i7-7820X or i9-7900X perform better with AVX workloads—especially with their faster cycles and support for AVX-512. Edited September 24, 2017 by JurunceNK
