I have a 16 GB Crucial Ballistix kit designed for 3600 MHz. After enabling XMP in BIOS and booting Windows, my RAM still showed 2666 MHz. I reverted to BIOS, turned off XMP, and set the speed manually to 3600. When I returned to Windows, it still reported 2666 MHz. Adjusting to 3400 MHz worked, but exceeding it caused crashes. My system uses a Ryzen 5 3600 on an Aorus B550 Elite AX with this RAM. Anyone know why this happens?

Your system seems to automatically set the memory to 2666, which is odd and a bit annoying. When you power on, do you experience any delays or issues trying to set the frequency to 3600 MHz?

I adjusted the memory speed to 3600 in BIOS either through XMP or manually, and it reset automatically to 2666 without any issues. When I tried to change it via afterburner, Windows crashed and shut down, which seems problematic. It appears my BIOS thinks 3600 is unstable, possibly due to the GDDR5 GT 710 GPU.
