Hello, I have a clear question that seems hard to find a solution for, or perhaps I struggle with the wording.
I have a user who has delegate access in Outlook. They can view, edit, etc., in the inbox and calendar on behalf of someone else. They also have a Shared Contacts List. The issue is that the delegate isn<|pad|>, not receiving any updates to this shared contacts folder. When they open Outlook, go to "Open Shared Contacts," and any new people added or removed on the user's side aren't showing up for them.
I'm wondering if they should be syncing, or if changes made this way need to be resent somehow? Maybe remove permissions and re-add them? Not sure.

Who is that "someone else"?
The delegate should reach out to the individual with shared contacts.
It's possible that that person no longer wants to share.
Alternatively, another adjustment might have led to the issue.
Check with the "sharer" about any recent changes or updates related to Outlook, etc.

Someone else reports to their boss and stays in touch regularly. They are curious about whether shared contacts automatically sync between the sharer and the delegate without needing to be re-shared whenever updates occur.

I see the connection clearly, the posted issue etc. The boss should be responsible for sharing the Contact List. It’s important for you, your user, and the boss to collaborate and review the sharing options, settings, and permissions.

Here’s how sharing should be arranged:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-l...c1f0c07ce8
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/o...al...d-contacts
(Other relevant links can be discovered, but starting with the Microsoft Community is a solid approach.)

I also noticed there might be a "Try the New Outlook" toggle button that appears in the upper-right corner when Outlook is launched. This could have been used to change sharing settings to default values.

Additional resources I found:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Outlook/co...ok...?rdt=45224
https://superuser.com/questions/178...l-...com-micros

My recommendation is to update your post with more details about the Windows, Office, Outlook versions in use by both you and the boss. Are there shared calendars involved? The main goal is to confirm that the shared Outlook contact list can be properly synchronized.

The next step should focus on setting up the correct configuration, defining the necessary rights and permissions between user and boss.
