I would create a USB drive with the newest Windows version, while the storage device would be an older or earlier release. You’ll require a USB with at least 4GB capacity.

It will clear the USB drive completely, then resume if room is available, and it won’t take any further action afterward. I’d store it in a specific folder through.

Typically, Windows 10 may need a bit of time to recognize a USB drive, especially if it's not connected properly or if there are any issues with the drive itself.
