Consider checking the ALSA plugin settings and adjusting their volume sensitivity. Also, ensure the audio driver is properly configured and try updating it if needed.

Thanks for letting me know. Also, the laptop problem was with a friend, and I haven’t received any response from them.

this situation unfolded differently than expected. I switched back to Linux and noticed the audio completely disappeared. I thought resetting ALSA might be the issue, but it could also relate to an extension—something that doesn’t work when I use pulse or system tray volume. The sound wouldn’t play or even mute properly. After fixing it, the GUI became quieter, but then it crashed. I used tty to bring back GDMA3 and pop-desktop. Now every login requires entering a specific command from the SS to restore audio. I performed all these steps after posting my query.

I restored the entire operating system (formatted) and that resolved the issue. I attempted to use a live ISO and installed the Volume Mixer extension to determine whether the problem was with the extension or the OS.
